You can wash your hands of it, but you are still defiled?

Matthew 27:24-25 When Pilate saw that he could not prevail at all. but rather that a tumult was rising, he took water and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, “I am innocent of the blood of this just Person. You see to it.” And all the people answered and said, “His blood be on us and on our children.”

Mark 7:5-9 Then the Pharisees and scribes asked Him, “Why do Your disciples not walk according to the tradition of the elders, but eat bread with unwashed hands? He answered and said to them, ”Well did Isaiah prophesy of you hypocrites, as it is written: ‘This people honors Me with their lips, But their heart is far from Me. And in vain they worship Me, Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.’ “For laying aside the commandment of God, you hold tradition of men– the washing of pitchers and cups, and many other such things you do.” He said to them, ”All to well you reject the commandment of God, that you may keep your tradition.

Mark 7:23 “All these evil things come from within and defile a man.”

Do men’s tradition, lead the church you go to? Does your church leader know there is a fine line between a man’s heart& his wallet, and is he willing to give you a message, so as not to cross that line. A message that will be swayed from the truth, so it will not hurt his church or himself financially.

If you are a leader of people, you must be sure and trust God for the wisdom to do so. It is when your decisions are made from the people and their traditions, that you will crucify a just Man, and at the same time think, you can wash your hands and it will not be on your head.

If you are a leader of people, you need to trust God to make the right decisions. You must speak to Him in Jesus name, and He will answer you, if your intentions are true. When He answers, no matter what the people say, nor what their traditions say, it is God’s word you should obey. Because no matter how many times you wash your hands, and who sees you do it, you will still be defiled.

Is your church built on trust in Jesus name, and the word of God? Or is your leader just following tradition, and what men are telling him to say, so they will keep giving?

The Roman Leader Pilate, went with tradition, and what men persuaded him to do, and he did not recognize Christ first coming, but chose to give the people their way even though, he knew Jesus was not worthy of the punishment. I hope the leaders of the Roman church do not miss the second coming. I do not think there is enough hand soap for that.
