Why you cannot please God without Faith?
Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Hebrew 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
2 Corinthians 5:7 For we walk by faith, not by sight.
Romans 10:17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Romans 12:3 For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith.
Romans 4:19-20 And not being weak in faith, he did not consider his own body, already dead ( since he was about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah’s womb. He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform.
Proverbs 29:25 The fear of man brings a snare, But whoever trust in the Lord shall be safe.
As Christians we must use faith to overcome this world. Our faith starts out accepting Christ as our savior. We believe it in our hearts and confess it with our mouth. For a lot of us when we do this we do not feel any different after we say it . We do not look any different. But if we believe what we just confessed, if it is in our hearts and not just our minds, we will act different. The things we say from that day on should be different, if we believe what we did, when we accepted Christ, and we do it by faith. We cannot see or touch it, but because the Bible we trust in says it, we do it and should stand on that promise until we see the Lord. This is the faith that pleases God. Well guess what? The Bible says we have other promises, we can accept by faith, and believe we have until they come to pass.
Some of these promises are, healing, protection, abundant life, strong hold in the day of trouble The word says we will be given a way of escape in temptation. We must as Christians use our faith to see these things in our life time. And as we do it, we will please God so much. You can get a small idea how much it pleases Him by, thinking of your own children and when you hear of them going through troubled times, and see them overcome. When you see them figure things out and come out on top, it gives so much joy. When they do it by prayer and faith in God’s word, and come out on top, it will put you as a parent on cloud nine. It is a feeling you can lay down and roll in, you want it all over you, and you want it to stay. It is one of the few feelings you can trust in. And that pleasing feeling is small compared to how pleased God is when you beat satan on his own turf, and trust in God’s word, and by faith claim your promise of salvation.
The scriptures tell us that Abraham is the father of faith. We can go to these scriptures and see just how he stood on the promises of God. They tell us he considered not his own body. He did not let his body tell him any thing different than what God had promised. The scriptures tell us Jesus bore our sicknesses and disease on the cross. Do not let your body tell you any different. God’s word is a promise you can stand on. If you believe you are healed and you have faith in the promise that is written in the scriptures. Stand on it. Never let the devil talk you out of your faith, never let fear come in. Let your thoughts always be on good things. Remember this; If the doctors have a medicine that will heal you, if there is something that will ease your symptoms, what ever that goes inline with your healing,do it. Do not let the devil give you a guilt trip about doctors helping you, when your faith is in God and not the doctor. Do whatever it takes to get healed, bottom-line. When you are healed the devil looses and he knows it. That is why the devil loves to make you question your faith.
Never let fear make a decision for you. If you need medicine for diabetes or asthma, or some thing of that nature be sure to take it, when you do not need it anymore that is when you are healed. Satan would enjoy watching you suffer and die. It would be foolish presumption on your part, not to take what God has provided to keep you a live until you manifest your healing, you are believing for. Faith is trusting in a promise of God, when you no longer need medicine, thank God for it. Until you receive your healing, thank God every day for it, because faith is the substance of things hoped for the evidence of things not seen. Faith is calling things that be not as though they were.
Never take medicine because you think something is sure to come. Do not even buy aspirin unless you need it, never plan on anything that is not inline with God’s word. There is no faith in a decision made in fear. Faith and fear cannot be in the same place at the same time. If you are believing in a promise of God, faith is what you stand on. Fear means you do not trust in the promise, and God is not at all pleased when you let fear dictate your confession. Remember what you believe in your heart is what you say, if you are about to confess a fear or doubt or worry, do not do it. If you do, say out loud, I take that statement back, it is not my belief. Say, satan you will not direct my life.
When we live by faith, God gets all the glory from it. He loves for us to pray and believe by faith, that we have all that He promises. Take the promises of God that were paid for by Jesus Christ and by faith conquer this world, beat satan on his turf and God will be so pleased.
