Why do Christians feel the need to tell people about Jesus?
2 Timothy 2:12-13 “If we endure. We shall also reign with Him. If we deny Him, He also will deny us. If we are faithless, He remains faithful; He cannot deny Himself.”
Matthew 10:32-33 “Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven. But whoever denies Me before men, him I will also deny before My Father who is in heaven.”
When you decide to turn a friend or loved one down, when they speak to you about Jesus. Always remember this; They do it only because they love you. The one you call friend or loved one, has found something so precious and real they want you to know about it. Not only are they following Gods word but they have experienced something that works every time and they want you to know because they love you that much. You must know that when you poo poo their efforts it takes their emotion and dashes it to the ground. They have acted out of sincere love, and faith, and you have turned from that. Hopefully one day you will come to their knowledge of God’s Word, and be able to confess, you are sorry and repent to that someone, that has showed you such an expression of love. God’s Words are seed, when you speak them they are planted, some fall on good ground and some fall on not so good ground. Some will grow and produce fruit after maturity. Some will just die out before they produce fruit.
What person will give you the right words so that you will accept Jesus as your savior? If your friends have tried, it is because they love you. They have not given up on you but you have given up on them. With all the courage they could muster, they have asked you to know Jesus and you have treated them with disrespect. In doing so, you have walked away from people who you say you love. I will ask this one thing of you, put yourself in their shoes and you will see from their view, and it is because they loved you so much they tried to give you the Word, that will give you the things you need, and the things you do not even know you need. Do not let the Word pass you by.
Every Word of God is incorruptible seed, what kind of ground does it fall on when you hear it.
