Who is your friend?

Proverbs 17:17 A friend loves at all times, And a brother is born for adversity.

Proverbs 19:4 Wealth makes many friends, But the poor is separated from his friend.

Proverbs 19:6 Many entreat the favor of the nobility, And every man is a friend to one who gives gifts.

Proverbs 27:6 Faithful are the wounds of a friend. But the kisses of an enemy are deceitful.

James 4:4 Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself a enemy with God.

John 15:14-15 ”You are My friends if you do whatever I command you. “No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I have heard from My Father I have made known to you.

Are you a Christian? Who are your friends? There are many people in this world that will call you friend. If you walk in the worlds ways, and talk about your latest sickness. If you want to talk behind someone’s back, there are plenty of people in the world that will jump right in. They will drive the conversation if it is about immoral sex, or some one else’s misfortune. If you want to talk about something that God hates the world will jump right in. The people in the world will call you friend, but they will only be friends to you if you follow them, and there worldly ways.

A true friend will do whatever for you that will help you. A true friend will let you know when you are wrong and stand with you even when you hate him for it. A true friend will know that the truth will set you free even if it hurts you or them, and a true friend will let you know the truth. A true friend will love you at all times. A true friend will work for free just to show his love for you. A true friend loves you no matter what you do for them.

Are you a Christian? Do you want to know who your true friends are? As you line your will up with God’s through His Son Jesus Christ. Let them know about the truth you have come to know, if they are true friends they will realize your passion and love at all times. If they are worldly friends they will turn from you faster than you could imagine. It will truly separate believer from nonbelievers. The friends you thought you had will run from you like a plague if they do not believe. But you being a true friend will let them know the truth that will set them free.

Satan gives us this false sense, or feeling that if we tell people the truth that makes our life so abundant, they will look at us as crazy. But when you show your friends by example that God’s word works every time, they will want to know the truth themselves. As you walk the Christian walk, people will see your fruits. When your friends decide to make the choice to accept Christ in their lives, they will look to you, and then your friendship becomes real, something solid to build on.

A true friend will want to know all about you, what makes you tick, what do you love the most, what are your likes and dislikes. A true friend will put his life, his friendship, his money, and his reputation, on the line for you to get salvation. A true Christian friend realizes the importance of salvation. He will do whatever it takes to make you see the truth. It may seem crazy to the world. The world may talk as if you have lost it, and those that do are not true friends.

If you are a true Christian friend, you will no longer be a servant. Your true friend will make known all about him only if you ask. If you ask it means you want to know. If he tells you, you are a true friend. You must be a true friend to have a true friend. If you think someone that you, have given gifts to may not be your friend, stop giving gifts and see. If you make a lot of money for your employer and they are treating you like a true friend. Stop making that money and watch how fast the friendship comes to an end. If the friendship stands then it is a true friendship. God wants us to have true friends, Satan wants us to have friends that use us for there gain.

Let us be true friends. Let us have true friends. Let us be able to see who is, and who is not a true friend.
