Who is praying for you?
James 5:15-16 And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.
Even if you do not know it someone is praying for you. In this life things can seem to be going just fine. You might have never had a bad thing happen in your life, and you do not seek God’s will but yet all things seem fine. You may wonder what the big deal is about God and His Son Jesus Christ. You, yourself may not be the one in touch with God, but someone is on your behalf.
When all of a sudden your life starts to crumble around you. Things go crazy and you do not know what happen, but it seems as if everything has gone out of your control. You search for all the answers in the earths realm and you can not come up with a reason for the chaos.
Look for a recent loved one that has past away. Yes, I said look for someone that has past out of your life into ever lasting life. Look toward that one that has gone to be with the Lord.
When things go astray, and you have lost a loved one, that you know was a prayer warrior. If you look to their ways, you will see that they were the ones keeping you afloat. Those people prayed on your behalf everyday. Their prayers where effective beyond your wildest dreams. Not only did they provide for themselves with prayer and trusting in God. But their prayers blessed you and you did not even know it. If things start to fall apart, and you know a Christian loved one that has passed away. Search out what they practiced in their life. Because that is now what your missing in yours. When you pray for others, and they pray for you. You must know that it is very powerful.
You must know that you can say a prayer of faith on someone’s behalf, and if that loved one’s desire is inline with your prayer they will be blessed. Their blessing may go unnoticed on their part, but you will know exactly where it came from. You can be sure when you live your life as an example. Others will see it and when the tides turn against them they will look to your example for their answers. You need to know that when you pray for others it blesses them. You also need to know that when they pray for you it blesses you.
Take the time to pray and thank God through His Son Jesus for the power of prayer. It is what keeps others a float while they come to a full understanding of God’s word.
January 29, 2004 at 1:35 am #107GailParticipantThis is a beautiful message containing such wonderful advice and “food” for thought. I’ve never thought of it that way before. Can someone here on earth wish for bad things against you? ❓ Thank you, Gail 😀
January 29, 2004 at 10:47 am #108BeaverParticipantAnyone can wish a bad thing on someone else. But your will can never overtake their will. God does not make people do His will. He can, but will not. He will not change your will. And your wish, (good or bad) will never overide anothers will.
