What has brought your faith to where it is today?

1 Samuel 17:32-37 Then David said to Saul, “Let no man’s heart fail because of him; your servant will go and fight with this Philistine.” And Saul said to David, “You are not able to go against this Philistine to fight with him; for you are a youth, and he a man of war from his youth.” But David said to Saul, “Your servant used to keep his father’s sheep, and when a lion or a bear came and took a lamb out of the flock, I went out after it and struck it, and delivered the lamb from its mouth; and when it rose against me, I caught it by its beard, and struck and killed it. “Your servant has killed both lion and bear; and this uncircumcised Philistine will be like one of them, seeing he has defied the armies of the living God.”

James 2:26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

David’s faith brought him to a point in life where he could say, “yes I can.” for God. When others said,” there is no way.” David had worked his faith a number of times. David stood with the God he believed in, and went after the lion, he stood with the God he believed in, and went and defeated the bear. David trusted in God, and acted on what he believed in, so when the opportunity to work his faith, in his belief in God one more time, he was ready, and no one could tell him he was not.

And he stood on a enemy of God!

Is your faith ready for the next battle, or have you use it at all? If you do not use your faith it is dead, which makes for tough battles. If you do, watch out Goliath!!
