What are you worried about?
Matthew 6:27 “Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?
Matthew 6:33-34 ” But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. “Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.
Would you worry if your dad said, “I would like to take you to dinner” If your dad was like a dad should be, you would not think twice about what he said to you. If your best friend said I will be there at eight and they had never been late before, would you set down and wring your hands together until eight? Take any person that you hold up in high regard, if they said come to my house because I would like to have you over for a wedding reception. Would you go? Or would you worry that it was not really going to happen, and not show at all.
We take people at their words time and time again. If we get a new job and the employer says we get paid every week on friday. You will tell all your friends you got a new job and you get paid on friday. You will tell your friends all about your new job and the only thing you can talk about is what the employer said and some people that already might work there said. You have yet to work a day. or drawn the first check, but you will take them at their word and run with it. If you go to the doctor and he says you are fine. You act fine. If he says you’re sick you will lay right down and be sick. If your children start to run a temperature and act under the weather you start to get that race in your heart rate. Your concern is it could be something bad. You set up the doctors appointment and take them, and the doctors says they will be fine. Your heart rate will start to subside, because you believe what the doctors says. And your worry is set at ease. You have faith in your doctors word. It is not wrong to go to a doctor. Do not let any one tell you it is. But your faith needs to be in God’s word. What He says about you. If the doctor says what God says take it. If not you must not worry. God’s word says pray and stand in faith for your answer. Do not worry. If it is in God’s word He will do it.
Christians listen up!! We must stop the worry. We must take God at His word. He gave us his only begotten Son Jesus Christ. Jesus came so we would have life abundant. He came and bore our sin on the cross. He came to be an example for us, to show us how to walk through the valley of shadow of death and have no evil come near us. If we worry about any of these things we need to pray and believe we receive these promises. And not worry. Take God at His word. Believe He will provide for us. Believe Jesus has healed us. Believe He will give us all we ask for in line with His word.
When you are a believer, worry has no place in your life. It will steal your joy. Do not let the devil Swipe any thing from you, by allowing you to worry.
In the words of Dora the Explorer ( a child’s tv show) No swiping here swiper, No swiping here swiper, No swiping here swiper. And the Fox that is trying to steal from her, does all he knows he can do. He says “AW MAN!!”
You need to learn not to worry if you believe God’s word.
