What are you afraid of?
2 Timothy 1:7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
Proverb 29:25 The fear of man brings a snare, But whoever trust in the Lord shall be safe.
Matthew 10:28 “And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
1 John 4:18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.
God’s word tells us the only fear we should have is fear of God. This God kind of fear, for believers is a reverence. It is to be in awl of the almighty God. It is a fear like a child should have for their parents. It is a respectful state of mind. Holding their parents in the highest regard in everything they do. Every move we make in life should be with a reverence too God. When we go to do anything, we should ask ourselves is this inline with God’s will. If we learn to live this way, our lives will become so much easier.
We need to know that fear for anything other than God, is not from God. Sometimes we will let fears of this world take us over. We will not fly in a plane because we are afraid to fly. We will let a family history of sickness haunt us for a lifetime. We will let the fear of death keep us from living. We will forbid our children from reality of life because we say we are protecting them from harm, when actually it is our fear of what could happen to them in the world without our protection. These kind of fears will not hold water. We must know that, we cannot protect our children from a thing without God’s guidance. If we let fear make a decision for us we make the wrong decision.
When we line our will up with God’s will, we are perfecting our love for Him. God’s word tells us that perfect love casts out fear. God’s will is for us to trust in Him. Pray for the things we need and He will give them to us. When we pray in Jesus name, we need to believe we receive what we pray for, and trust in God that we have it. If we hang on to fear of what we pray against, we have not lined our will up with God’s and we are not perfecting our love.
Fears of this world that directs our lives, will always lead us in the wrong direction. When we fear things whatever they may be, if there against what God’s promise is for us, we need to use our faith and stop that fear.
Satan will use our fears to direct us, he will make sure he uses our fear to keep us from God’s best. The things we fear is where satan does his work. Satan knows what we fear and the things we hold dear, he knows our weaknesses, and he will use them to hold us captive.
We need to recognize our fears and pray and stand on God’s word, and by faith in the word, keep those fears at bay. The best way is Do Not!; confess your fears. When we confess a fear, it is what we truly believe in our heart. I believe this makes God so sad. When we as believers confess a fear, we stop the promises of God in our life. The confession of a fear is the exact opposite of what God’s will is in our life. We should confess God’s promise and trust in God’s promise, and by faith claim God’s promise. Jesus bought and paid for all you need to live life abundantly. He did it on the cross. He did it so we would not have to. All we have to do is believe, confess Him as our Lord and Savior, and by faith stand on the promises. Never let fear rob us of these promises. If you worry about every thing, and we know we can give those cares to God, and not worry, and we do not do it. Satan has us right where he wants us.
Fear only God. Do not fear anything that is not of God. Do not make any decision where fear is the influence. Believe Jesus has paid the price so you do not have to. Line your will up with God’s will, perfect the love He wants in your life and cast out all fear.
It works, just do it.
