Was it a miracle or money?
Mark 6:35-44 When the day was now far spent, His disciples came to Him and said, “This is a deserted place, already the hour is late. “Send them away, that they may go into the surrounding country and villages and buy themselves bread; for they have nothing to eat?” But He answered and said to them, ”You give them something to eat.” And they said to Him, “Shall we go and buy two hundred denarii worth of bread and give them something to eat?” But He said to them, ”How many loaves do you have? Go and see.” And when they found out they said, “Five, and two fish.” Then He commanded them to make them all set down in groups on the green grass. So they sat down in ranks, in hundreds and in fifties. And when He had taken the five loaves and the two fish, He looked up to heaven, blessed and broke the loaves and gave them to His disciples to set before them; and the two fish He divided among them all. So they all ate and were filled. And they took up twelve baskets full of fragments and of the fish. Now those who had eaten the loaves were about five thousand men.
This message to us is very in depth. The disciples knew they had the money to feed the people. But Jesus told them, do not go into the village and buy them food. And He took what He had and blessed it and fed them all and had leftover. And that is a miracle. It was such a miracle that no one could deny it. But it also lets us know that when you are trusting in God to feed God’s people, it will take little on your part, blessed by God. It lets us see that when God moves it is a miracle and not money.
Did you try and buy your last miracle?
Or did you take what little you had, bless it in Jesus name, and watch the undeniable miracle happen?
A miracle from God is not money, do not mix up the two. He will give you the power to get wealth. And He will give you the miracles that you need. It is when we confuse the two that is when the love of money tries to takeover. And that is a root of all evil.
Churches today ask for money. Is that because they have confused it with miracles?
Miracles and money, they look a lot alike, but money will not work in heaven. You can not use money to get in to heaven. You can not buy salvation. You can not buy cures from sickness and disease. You can not buy forgiveness. You can not buy perfect protection. You can not buy peace of mind. You can not buy love, but if you have a lot of money the people that love it will act like they love you.
