Someone is lying, who is it?
Hebrews 6:17-19 Thus God, determining to show more abundantly to the heirs of promise the immutability of His counsel, confirmed it by an oath, that by two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we might have strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold of hope set before us. This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters the Presence behind the veil, where the forerunner has entered for us, even Jesus, having become High Priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek.
John 8:44 ”You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.
2 Corinthians 10:4-5 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled.
Thank God, the Bibles tells us it is impossible for God to lie. You see when God says anything it becomes what He says. Because God is the creator of all things. The devil has twisted and scramble Gods truth, so many of us are incline to believe what the devil has said. The devil lies every time he opens his mouth. It is the only weapon he has. The devil walks the earth looking for who he can make believe his lies. The only way he can lie to us is through our six senses. The devil will use our natural senses, and our sixth sense, which is our thought life, just how he deceived Eve and Adam. He first started with the HEARING sense and the devil told Eve “have you eaten off the tree of the knowledge of good and evil”? He use the sense of SIGHT to show Eve how beautiful the fruit was. He used the sense of smell so she could SMELL the aroma of the fruit. He used the sense of TASTE to entice her by, letting her know the flavor of this forbidden fruit. He used the sense of TOUCH by telling her feel how firm and crisp and fresh this fruit is. Then the devil lied to her by saying you will be as smart as God and have the THOUGHTS of all power like Him. Go ahead and take a bite. The devil lies to us through our senses. Senses can not be trusted unless they are in line with God’s word.
Our thoughts will lie to us. When the inner voice speaks to us we need to test that voice. That thought needs to be in line with God’s word. When a thought tells you, no one loves you, you need to cast that down. When a thought tells you, you are afraid or crazy, you need to cast that thought down. Tell that thought, God does not give the spirit of fear but of power and love and a sound mind. When your thought tells you, you are not worthy of something, and you have accepted Christ as your savior, you need to cast that thought down. Tell that thought, when you accepted Christ, you became righteous in God’s eyes. You need to fill your thoughts with all good and perfect things that come from above. As the lying thoughts come and it exalts itself against the knowledge of God, cast them down. Do not let your thoughts tempt you. If they do, you can be sure it is not God, He does not tempt us ever.
If this world has you going ten different directions every afternoon after work, trying to keep up with the jones’s, you are lying to yourself. If you are competing with the world to show them, you are the best, you are lying to yourself. If you know what God’s word says about your life and do not stand on it by faith, you are lying to yourself. If you know the word of God says this is a day the Lord has made and to be glad and rejoice in it, and you do not, you are lying to yourself. If you know that God sent His Son Jesus to make you an over comer in this world, and you do not accept it, you are lying to yourself. If you know the word of God says, that the man is head of the wife, and your wife is the spiritual leader in your home, you are lying to yourself. If you know the word of God says that the wife is to be submissive, and you do not let your husband be the head, you are lying to yourself.
If you know the word of God says to raise a child up in a way he should go, and you do not take the time to do it, you are lying to yourself. If you know what the word of God says and you do not do it, you are lying to yourself. And God will let you.We know God cannot lie.
We know the devil does, and is the father of them. He will lie to you through your senses, the five natural senses, and the sixth sense which is your thought’s. Do not allow it.
When we know God’s word and we Do Not do it. We know we lie to ourselves.
Trust God and in His Son Jesus. They forgive, They love, They care, and They can be trusted.
