If we do not add to, or take away from the Bible, what’s got to change?
Revelations 22:18-20 For I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book; and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy. God shall take away his part from the Book of Life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
James 5:16 Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another that you may be healed. The effective fervent prayer of righteous man avails much.
2 Timothy 3:16-17 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.
Hebrews 4:14-16 Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in the time of need
Luke 11:27-28 And it happened, as He spoke these things, that a certain woman from the crowd raised her voice and said to Him, “Blessed is the womb that bore You, and the breasts which nursed You!” But He said, ”More than that, blessed are those who hear the word of God and keep it!”
Matthew 23:9 ”Do not call anyone on earth your father; for One is your Father, He who is in heaven.
Matthew 1:24-25 Then Joseph, being aroused from sleep, did as the angel of the Lord commanded him and took to him his wife, and did not know her till she had brought forth her firstborn Son. And he called His name Jesus.
There are a lot of things taught today, that are added to the scriptures or taken from the scriptures to make them fit. Here are several I would like to spot light, or bring to attention.
One; is where, do you need to confess your trespasses, in a closet or to one another? The Scriptures tell us to confess to one another.
Two; who, is the High Priest in your life, a man, or Jesus Himself? If Jesus is your High Priest you can go to Him directly any place, at any time, and no man can keep Him from you.
Three; is why, do men put Mary (Jesus’s Mother) in a place to be worshiped? If Jesus Himself said “More blessed are those who hear the word of God and keep it.”
Four; is How, Could Mary, Jesus’s Mother still be a virgin? When God told Joseph not to know her until after Jesus was born, and the Scriptures tell us Jesus had brothers.
Five; is what, do churches make idols statues of Mary for? If we are more blessed than her if we hear the word of God and keep it.
Six; is when, should we call a man father on the earth? If the Scriptures clearly state we should not call any man father on the earth, because our Father is in heaven.
It is all most like someone has added or taken away deliberately, to keep us from putting Jesus our High Priest from being first in our lives.

The thing about Jesus’ brothers; Let’s highlight James (which is Hebrew for “Supplanter” which means “to take the place of another”. James was a son of Mary and Joseph some years after Jesus was born; thus, in the strictest sense of the word, we see that James was Jesus’ half-brother. When people worship “The Virgin Mary” or “La Virgen” or “La Madonna”, they are awestruck by the miracle of Jesus’ birth. I think this is the reason people refer to Mary as the Virgin: Her sanctity remained even after Jesus’ birth because her son was God’s Son.
I still have to throw back to my earlier topic here; if you aren’t worshiping Jesus Christ who died on the cross, you’re missing the mark. God put Mary here to bring Jesus into this world. He put the cross here to slay Jesus and he put the nails here to make Jesus bleed. Still, God’s whole purpose for putting His plan into action was to save His creations from the pain of death and Hell. Jesus is who we praise, and the father likewise to worship. We shouldn’t praise Mary, or the Cross, or the nails. They’re all symbols. We need the substance. -
