If Jesus walked into your temple, would you know Him?

1Corinthians 6:19 Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?

John 2:14-17 And He found in the temple those who sold oxen and sheep and doves, and the money changers doing business. When He had made a whip of cords, He drove them all out of the temple, with the sheep and the oxen, and poured out the changers money and overturned the tables. And He said to those who sold doves, ”Take these things away! Do not make My Fathers house a house of merchandise!” Then His disciples remembered that it was written, “Zeal for your house has eaten Me up.

We can get so caught up in this world and things in it. Buying and selling, and thinking so much on ourselves, if Jesus was to stop by, we would not even know He was there. He would have to throw a fit, just to be recognized, and then you still might know it was Him. You might think He was just some crazy person that acted totally different than every one else.

It is very hard to understand someone, unless it is your desire to want to know them.

And we get so caught up in our will’s, we never see another person’s will or desire. If we cannot notice another person’s will and desire, you can be sure when Jesus shows up we will not know He was even there.

Are you so caught up in you, that you do not care for someone else?

Your body is the temple of God. What goes on in your temple? Do you need Jesus to come in and turn over a few tables?

Just like “treat others as you would have them treat you” – “treat everyone as if they could be Jesus” :D .

When you say you believe that Jesus is Lord of your life. It is then you will treat others, in a way that you would want to be treated. If you are letting the devil rule your life and there is no faith and action in what you believe. Then you will treat others in the same selfish way the devil treats others. Only caring about himself and could careless about what anyone else thinks.

When you take your body, which is the temple, that you ask Jesus to live in. And let the devil use the temple that is God’s, you become very selfish and the only things you care about, are serving your needs. When Jesus comes in, you will not care about Him, or anyone else, and if you do not take anyones else’s cares over your own, then you will not recongnize Jesus.
