If God spoke to you, how do you convince others He has?
Ezekiel 2:1-7 And He said to me, “Son of man, stand on your feet, and I will speak to you.” Then the Spirit entered me when He spoke to me, and set me on my feet; and I heard Him who spoke to me. And He said to me: “Son of man, I am sending you to the children of Israel, to a rebellious nation that has rebelled against me; they and their fathers have transgressed against Me to this very day. For they are impudent and stubborn children. I am sending you to them, and you shall say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord God.’ As for them, whether they hear or whether they refuse—for they are a rebellious—yet they will know that a prophet has been among them. “And you, son of man, do not be afraid of them nor be afraid of their words, though briers and thorns are with you and you dwell among scorpions; do not be afraid of their words or dismayed by their looks, though they are a rebellious house. “You shall speak My words to them, whether they hear or whether they refuse, for they are rebellious.”
Acts 9:3-7 As he journeyed he came near Damascus, and suddenly a light shone around him from heaven. Then he fell to the ground, and heard a voice saying to him, “Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?” And he said, “Who are you Lord?” Then the Lord said, ”I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting. It is hard for you to kick against the goads,” So he, trembling and astonished, said, “Lord, what do You want me to do?” Then the Lord said to him, ”Arise and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do.”
When we study God’s word we see time and time again, God speaking to people. The people He speaks to, are the ones He knows will listen. As strange as it may seem, God that has all the power that is, speaks to us. We must know this, God made this world and the men and women that are in it. When He did He gave them a free will. We have a free will so we come to God because we want to. God wants us to choose to love Him, through His Son Jesus. When we exercise our will, He wants our choice to be Him because He loved us so much. We are His creation.
Because we have free will. God’s Will for us will need to be heard by everyone. This is why God sends certain people with His messages, God knows who will listen to who. The world needs to know that Jesus Christ is a choice we can make no matter what we have done.
The Bible is God’s message to us. When someone is speaking Gods word, believers will know right away. The sheep will know the voice of the shepherd.
If God speaks to you, it is not your job to trick, force, lure, beat up, or hold down the people you are supposed to tell. You just need to tell them and be sure they hear what God wants you to say. God has spoken to you, so you will be His voice. Tell the ones you are led to tell, sow God’s seed, and He will give the increase. Do not let them talk you out of the message. Do not let their facial expressions deter you from what you must say. Just give them what God has directed and it will then become their choice as to what they will do. Remember everyone has been given a free will and it is always going to be what they want in their life. Not what you force them to do. But God is allowing them to hear through you what He wants them to know. You are just to be obedient and tell them what God has revealed to you.
When God gives you a message for others, tell them the message, with love, with the belief in your heart that God, the Creator of all, has spoken to you. And tell them with all authority. It is what God wants them to hear.
Be convinced yourself and let their will convince them.
God has spoken to men and women since He made them. Old and new testament, show God is still speaking to people. God also will speak to people you would never think He would, such as Saul ( better known as Paul). So, as you are sure you have a message, be sure you take the time to listen to others. Test what they say against the word of God, and if it fits, you may need to take direction as well as give direction.
God speaks through people. Do not pass them by, they could have a word for you.
