Has the bowl of soup taken place of your birth right?
Genesis 25:29-34 Now Jacob cooked a stew; and Esau said to Jacob, “Please feed me with that same red stew, for I am weary,” Therefore his name was called Edom. But Jacob said sell me your birthright as of this day.” And Esau said, “Look, I am about to die; so what is this birthright to me?” Then Jacob said, “Swear to me as of this day.” So he swore to him, and sold his birthright to Jacob. And Jacob gave Esau bread and stew of lentils; then he ate and drank, arose, and went his way. Thus Esau despised his birthright.
When Christ gave His life for us on the cross, and God raised Him from the dead, and He ascended to Heaven to sit at the right hand of the Father until His enemies are made His footstool. He allowed us to accept Him as our Savior and become like Him in His birthright. To have the same inheritance or rights as Him, if we will believe in Him, God will allow us to come boldly to the throne and ask what we will, in Jesus name. Jesus’ birthright becomes yours when you accept Him.
Do not let anyone hand you a bowl of soup in place of what God has waiting for you.
Those bowls of soup can be deceiving you, out of what God really wants you to have in life.
God wants the same for you as He does for all of His children, but some handouts that seems like a good gesture, at the time, may have you giving up your birthright. When you become hungry for God’s Word, deception can keep you from it.
Sometimes free soup, will have you confessing, something that is not God’s will, keeping you from what is God’s will.
After all what you believe in your heart and what you confess with your mouth is what God allows to be. Whether you know it or not.
Say only what you would want to happen to you. Confess and repent in Jesus name, from things you have said, that you do not want to happen, before they mature. And make all attempts to make your own soup. Hand outs may be costing you a fortune.

Isn’t it always the ploy of whatever soup company is trying to sell you their soup (Campbell’s, Progresso, etc.) to make it seem like it’s what you’ve been missing? Soup is associated with warmth, love, compassion, feelings of goodness. But what’s different from the soup of deceit and the nourishment of God’s love is that when the soup is gone, it’s gone. God’s love keeps us nourished eternally; soup is only so long.
