Do you know what you owe?
Luke 7:41-43 ”There was a certain creditor who had two debtors. One owed five hundred denarii, and the other fifty. “And when they had nothing with which to repay, he freely forgave them both. Tell Me, therefore, which of them will love him more?” Simon answered and said, “I suppose the one whom he forgave more.” And He said to him, ”You have rightly judged.”
We all are in a position of debt of some kind. We all owe Christ for the debt He paid for us at Calvary. It is the only way we can be forgiven of our sins against God.
Only if we acknowledge our debt, will we ever know the value of the price that was paid for us, by God’s Son.
Most people in the world refuse to know what their debt is. They only want to know what will get them by for the month. The total value of what they owe they choose to ignore, until the time comes when they are unable to repay, and the debt is totaled. Then and only then will reality set in, and the value of forgiveness of their debt be apparent.
Do you know what you owe? Spiritually, financially, physically. We all owe. Knowing our debt is the only way to realize the Value of the Forgiveness, of it all.
