Did you know God even likes to be thanked for what He does?

Luke 17:11-19 Now it happened as He went to Jerusalem that He passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee. Then He entered a certain village, there met Him ten men who were lepers, who stood afar off. And they lifted up their voices and said, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!” So when He saw them, He said to them, ”Go, show yourselves to the priests.” And so it was that as they went , they were cleansed. And one of them when he saw that he was healed, returned, and with a loud voice glorified God, and fell down on his face at His feet, giving Him thanks. And He was a Samaritian. So Jesus answered and said, “Were there not ten cleansed? But where are the nine?” And He said to him, “Arise, go your way. Your faith has made you well.”

These ten lepers all had the same needs, and as they cried out to Jesus for their needs, Jesus directed them with His words as to what to do to be made well. The ten of them in turn did as He said but it was not until they started to follow His direction did they receive their healing. And as they received their healing nine of them forgot about what God had done as soon as they no longer needed what they knew He could offer. We need to be sure and know God longs for praise and thanksgiving. It is all He ask of us, that we never forget who Jesus is and what He has done for us. All of us have prayed for something and received it and once we had gotten it, and it was no longer a need or desire, we have forgotten the miracle that made it all happen, the power of prayer and faith in Jesus name.

God loved us so that we could Love Him in His Sons name. Jesus took stripes so that we may be healed. Jesus came so that we could have life abundant. Let this Thanksgiving day not just be the day that we give thanks, but the beginning of our thanking Him continually for all that He has blessed us with.

After you no longer have needs and your desires are met, it is easy to forget, because the devil does not want God to have any glory, and it is up to God’s children to see that He gets all He deserves. He is a good God!! Thank Him. He longs for it. As any father would that provided all that you could ask or imagine.
