    Can you accept without exception?

John 20:24-29 Now Thomas, called the Twin, one of the twelve, was not with them when Jesus came. The other disciples therefore said to him, “We have seen the Lord.” So he said to them, “Unless I see in His hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and put my hand into His side, I will not believe.” And after eight days His disciples were again inside, and Thomas with them. Jesus came , the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said,[i] ”Peace to you!” [i]Then He said to Thomas, “Reach your finger here, and look at My hands; and reach your hand here, and put it into My side. Do not be unbelieving, but believing.” And Thomas answered and said to Him, “My Lord and my God!” Jesus said to him, ”Thomas, because you have seen Me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”

Can you accept the fact that Jesus Christ lives? Can you accept the fact He sits at the right hand of the Father until His enemies are made His footstool? Can you accept the fact that Jesus died for your sins? Can you accept the fact that Jesus bore your sickness and disease on the cross along with the sin of the world? Can you accept the fact that Jesus came to the earth so that you may have a more abundant life? Can you accept the fact that because of your believing in Jesus, that you now are made righteous through His shed blood, and can come boldly to the throne of God and ask what you will in Jesus Name?

Or are there exceptions? Do you need to see Jesus before you accept? Do you need to touch Jesus before you believe? Where do you let exception come between you and Jesus? Is it when your friends laugh and say your crazy? Do you make an exception when your job becomes to hard, or maybe when things become to easy? So many of us will make exceptions in what we accept if it does not go the way the world says it should. When it all lines up with what is right with the world’s standards then we accept it without exception. If the doctors report says you have a cancer, everything God says in His Word is out the window, and exception steps in between you and Jesus. Do you believe you have the right to ask God what you will in Jesus Name, or do you make exceptions because of something in your past that keeps you from feeling worthy? Maybe the exception comes when you do not feel the problem is big enough for Jesus to hear about?

Where do you allow exceptions to cut you off from God’s best?

Work on eliminating the exceptions, until the accepting runs out of you like a river.
