Are you a receiver or deceived?
John 5:38-44 ”But you do not have His word abiding in you, because whom He sent, Him you do not believe. “you search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me. “But you are not willing to come to Me that you may have life. “I do not receive honor from men. “But I know you, that you do not have the love of God in you. “I have come in My Father’ s name, and you do not receive Me; if another comes in his own name, him you will receive. “How can you believe, who receive honor from one another, and not seek the honor that comes from the only God?
2 Timothy 3:1-7 But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away! For of this sort are those who creep into households and make captives of gullible women loaded down with sins, led away by various lusts, always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
Have you received Jesus as your savior? Do you act on that belief? Do you confess that belief? When someone tells you there is no hope for your situation, are you filled with worry and fear? If you truly believed what God’s word says, that worry and fear will come, but when it does you will know just what to confess. You will know to think on all good things. When you received Jesus and you believe all He has that goes with Him. You will need to have actions that show your belief to be true. You will have to confess what you believe, because what you believe will be the fullness of your heart. If your parent, friend, boss, or loved one, tells you to do something, and you take what they say at face value, and act on their direction, and move in the direction that they tell you to go. You have received what they said, believed it, and acted on it. God wants the same reaction from you when you come to the knowledge of His word. God wants you to be a receiver and do what you believe you have received.
Do you follow all the Bible commandments? Are you a good person and do good everyday? Do you have an abundant life? Are your needs met? Are you abundantly supplied? Do you give to the poor? Do you love your mom and dad? Have you lived your life up to now with out accepting Christ? You are deceiving yourself. You have people believing in you and not God. You must come to the full knowledge of God, through His Son Jesus. If you do not, you are deceiving yourself, and others. God gave His only begotten Son so we could overcome the evil in this world. Do not be deceived thinking you can get by without Him. Do not look around you, looks are deceiving. Look up to God and accept His Son as your foundation for your new life.
Receive God’s Son so you can stop being deceived. It is God’s will that you do.
