I knew the Holy Spirit would shout it out to you! When I read this post, the only thing I could think of was that tattoo passage from Leviticus. The thing is, however, that I couldn’t find anything against body markings in the New Testament. I did, however, find that bit about Jesus and the old laws. I knew there was something that would make a tattoo/marking okay, but I wasn’t sure where I could find it. How cool is it that the answer was there in the subtext? I think that’s pretty awesome, and you’re right. When you do things in Jesus’ Holy Name, you do them in mind of the living and NOT the dead. As it says in Matthew 8: 22
But Jesus said unto them“Follow me, and let the dead bury the dead.”
