Beaver-
I researched this topic and wondered if you could have any insight. Both Old and New Testament seem to be against tattoos, if you follow these two passages;
Leviticus 19:28-Never cut your bodies in mourning for the dead or mark your skin with tattoos. I am the Lord thy God.
Matthew 5: 17-19 = Do not misunderstand why I have come. I did not come to abolish the law of Moses or the writings of the prophets. No, I came to fulfill them. I assure you, until heaven and earth disappear, even the smallest detail of God’s law will remain until its purpose is achieved. So if you break the smallest commandment and teach others to do the same, you will be the least in the Kingdom of Heaven. But anyone who obeys God’s laws and teaches thtem will be great in the Kingdom of Heaven.
This was my own bit of research. I’m sure that you’ll be able to find a rebutle, but I was curious when I read this passage.
Maybe you can find something to counter these verses?
