Why does it seem like when we pray, our answer takes so long?
James 1:2-4 My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.
Isaiah 40:31 But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.
The Bible tells us to count it all joy when we go through various trials. It allows us to use our faith and gives us patience. It does not seem like it should be something we should be joyful about. That is because we are looking at it from the world’s point of view. So let us line ourselves up with God’s will and see what He wants us to see.
When we work our faith on things, when we pray and we ask for things, we know we have them by faith. When we have prayed for help, healing, and a loved one’s salvation, and we stand on the promises of God, we take our faith and we call those things that be not as though they were. We must become so sure of God’s promise that we are standing on, that we would not be willing to change places with anyone in the world. Because we know God’s promises for each of us is true. The things we ask for in line with His will, He will give them to us. When we believe with all our heart that what God has promised He will bring to past.
Then here comes the devil, and he will use every trick in the book to talk you out of the promise. The devil will ask you a million times a day, where is your God, where is the answer to your prayer. You do not have it yet, do you?
Now take that shield of faith, get behind that thing, and tell the devil; I have it by faith. God’s word says it, I believe it, that settles it. When you do, you quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. Not just some of them, but all of them. As you learn to do this and you defeat the devil, time and time again. You are not only producing patience, but your faith muscle is growing stronger each time.
The Bible tells us you are becoming perfect and complete lacking nothing.
When we look at this from God’s will, that we line up with. It looks a whole lot different.
Use your patience, knowing full well God is going to bring it to pass. If you have prayed, and you believed when you prayed, and trust in God, and Stop doubting, It is as good as done. Tell the devil as he comes with his lies; there is no place for you here. I believe all of God’s word, and all that it says. I will be as patient as it takes, because I know it is as good as done.
Know this when you wait on the Lord He will renew your strength. When you are waiting, use that time to praise God, use that time to thank God, use that time to worship God. Do not sit idle. Fill yourself with God’s thoughts, think on all things good. Get your mind off yourself, and put your thoughts on helping someone else. This seems to really break the fangs of the devil.
The devil will try to overwhelm you with his thoughts and talk you out of your blessings. Do Not let him.
Pray and ask God in Jesus Name and, as you win these trials, with faith and patience. You will learn to count it all joy because you will learn that the Word works every time.
