[color=olive][b]If I do not know a person’s need, how do I pray for them?[/color][/b]

[b][i] Timothy 2:1-4 Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth.[/b][/i]

[b][i]Romans 8:26-27 Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.[/b][/i]

[b][i]Acts 1:4-5 And being assembled together with them, He commanded them not to depart from jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father,[/b][/i] [color=darkred][b]”which,”[/color][/b][b][i]He said,[/b][/i][color=darkred][b]”you have heard Me; for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.”[/color][/b]

[b][i]Acts 2:4 And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.[/b][/i]

[b][i]1 Corinthians 14:13-15 Therefore let him who speaks in a tongue pray that he may interpret. For if I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays, but my understanding is unfruitful. What is the conclusion then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will also pray with understanding I will sing with the spirit, and I will also sing with the understanding.[/b][/i]

If you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, and you believe the Bible from front to back as you should. If you do not add to or take away from the Word that is written. You cannot deny the facts that the Bible tells us about the Holy Spirit. When you pray for and are filled with the Holy Spirit, you will speak in tongues. Now; Do Not run from this fact.

If satan has his way and you never get this, it will benefit satan more than you. Satan has kept this from so many churches. So many preachers have said, that speaking in tongues is not for today, because they have not been filled with the Holy Spirit. If you come to this knowledge of the Holy Spirit and come to a full understanding of God’s enemies, you will give the devil a stomach ache. The devil knows this will give you, what I like to call power steering.

When you pray in tongues, you do not always feel like it, you will never say a word unless you say a word. God will not take hold of your tongue and move it for you. If you will not to speak in tongues God will not change your will, even if it is God’s will for you to do it. When you get this , you will feel better about the fact of speaking in tongues.

When you pray in tongues you can intercede for others with prayer, in a way that you do not know what to pray for. The Bible tell us that when we pray in the spirit that our understanding is unfruitful, but the Spirit knows just what to say. You will not understand what you are saying. The question now is, "Why would I want to speak in language I do not know?
And this is the reason. When you speak in tongues, the words you hear are not what you understand. If you did, other thoughts of the world could enter your prayer and mess it up. Thoughts like; What should I make for dinner? What do I do about the bills I cannot pay? I hope my child gets better, they have been sick for so long. These are thoughts from satan. These thoughts will hound you every time you go to think about, or pray to God. These thoughts will do their best to keep you from the peace of mind God wants you to have. When you pray, in the Spirit (tongues) you are speaking directly to God. If you understood what you were saying, your flesh in this world (satan’s kingdom) would mess it up. But because you do not know what you are saying, satan cannot mess it up, or interfere.

What a thought, something you can do, and satan cannot even understand.

Do not run from this fact. The Bible tells us about it for a reason. The devil has kept it from us for a reason. When you come to an understanding of this, and you come to a place when you hear other people speaking in tongues, it will not be such an uneasy feeling.

A lot of churches have turned away many baby Christians because they did not understand what was happening when they heard it. And satan jumped for joy.

When we come to the knowledge of the Holy Spirit and speaking in tongues, we need to be sure, it will edify us, but if a new or nonbeliever hears us it could turn them away, and would not be pleasing God.

Pray in the spirit, you can intercede for your loved ones, friends, war, and every area you can think of. And when you pray, it is the Spirit praying through you as you allow it. The Spirit knows exactly what the prayer needs to say, for every situation. The Spirit knows just who to send in your path in life and lead you to an answer. The power in it is something satan does not want you to find out about.

When you pray in the Spirit, you do it by faith. You are allowing it because God’s word said it. You believe the Word, and by faith you do it. It may not sound like what you are use to, but now you know the reason, so you can pray for someone in a way you do not know how to pray, in the purest way possible.

This is the best way to intercede for others.
