How can words not spoken in sincerity hurt you?

[i]John 1:1-2 “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God, He was in the beginning with God.”

John 1:14 “And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.”

Luke 8:11–“Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.”

When we come to an understanding of how important every word is, we will really start to take responsibility and control in our lives. Words we use every day guide our life. If we stop and listen to what people say we will see why they are where they are. If we listen to what we say with our own mouth we will see why we are where we are in either a good or bad situation. Words that are spoken in anger, in fear, in joy, in worry, and in any other way, direct our lives. We must guard our words. Always be sure that what we are about to say is going to lead us in God’s will and not the will of the world. Scriptures tell us that Jesus is Word. Because he is Word we must take every word we say and make it as important as God says it is. God built the world by speaking it into existence, (See Genesis chapter 1) He said every thing before it was made. This is a pattern we should learn to live by. Words can build us up and tear us down. When we speak it will help others or hurt others. Every word will go out and be what it is meant to be regardless of whether you said it with sincerity or not.

Give each word you speak some thought.
