The world was loved by God and Esau was hated?
John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
Malachi 1:3 But Esau I have hated, And laid waste his mountains and his heritage for the Jackals of the wilderness.”
To be loved or hated by God, is not a choice you would have to make.
But each day how we live can be a sign that follows what we choose. It is important to know that God hated Esau because He allowed himself to be deceived, by not keeping his birthright the most important thing in his life. Jacob was able to deceive him because to him the birthright was all he wanted. God in the beginning gave His Word, and the first born shall be the heir of all. It was what God held as the most iimportant words He ever spoke. Esau saw it as something off in the too far distant to ever desire it. Jacob new for sure how real it was, and because of it was able to decieve Esau with a bowl of soup.
To keep yourself from being deceived and hated by God, keep the most important thing to Him first in your heart. Then someone that thinks less of the Truth than you will not have a chance to get you to settle for less than God’s best.
To be loved or hated by God? As long as both are past tense your will, will be His.
