I posted this discussion because I know of so many cases of children that act out in such away, that you would think they were bound for hell and there was no stopping them. The teenage kids of today, small children, and young adults, all they want is the truth, and an understanding of it. They are told by their parents or guardians that they love them, and yet the actions speak against the very love they profess. It is then the truth becomes something fleeing. The small child that spends their life in day care and sitters, wonders, ‘is this love’? A teenager looks to find love and friendship and all that they can compare to, is what they have seen in their parent or guardian, and at best if they are not led by God is far short of the truth. They never are led to the truth, so they respond in such away, that if nothing matters, then they act as if it is so.
The truth is our way of escape, and it will always set us free. If we are to lead our kids with the truth, it is then they will receive understanding, they can live with, that will never change. When we tell small lies to cover our shortcomings, or lie because we do not believe they can handle the truth, it just leads to more untruth to keep the real truth from showing up, and us having to confess that we lied in the first place.
I know of a young lady that at this time is searching for the truth, and as she cries out in her rebellion, I wonder who will God hold responsable? Every one is responsable for their sin, but the mill stone is there for those that keep a child from Him and His Son.
I pray to God that I or someone like me will be able to reach this child, and that she will respond and know the truth that she is looking for, before she comes to believe that there is no such thing.
I pray that she can come to know Jesus and the truth He wants her to know. The truth that can only be found in Him or someone that is doing their best to be like Him. The truth that never changes and the only One that anyone can be measured against to see if they are worthy.
As we as adults use other adult to compare our success, we fall way short of success, but if we will use Christ as our foundation, our level mark, our destination. It is then and only then can we say we are leading children to the truth.
The truth is not hard to find. You just have to know what it is, before you can lead someone to it.
As the youth of this world gets, the short end of the stick. I hope we all will allow for that rebellion, before we give up on them. It is just the truth they are looking for and they cannot find anyone to lead the way.
