Where did Judas Iscariot go wrong?
Matthew 27:3 Then Judas, His betrayer, seeing that He had been condemned, was remorseful and brought back the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders, saying, “I have sinned by betraying innocent blood.” And they said, “What is that to us? You see to it!” Then he threw down the pieces of silver in the temple and departed, and went and hanged himself.
We should seek the answer to all things in the Scriptures. Not only did Judas Iscariot walk with Jesus during His ministry on earth, Judas ate with Him and drank with Him and undoubtedly saw the works of all the miracles. Judas was the holder of the money that was used for Jesus’ ministry. Having said all of this, Judas had placed all his trust in money and the power of it. The undeniable miracles that Judas saw, he chose to deny. Judas chose to betray Jesus for thirty pieces of silver, because of the power he thought money had, was much stronger than any miracle Jesus could come up with. But where Judas Iscariot went wrong, to the point of no return, was believing he could make all things right with God by giving the money to the high priest at the church, in place of, asking Jesus to forgive him. Judas was even remorseful enough to the point of self sacrifice for what he had done, and yet was still not forgiven, because after all the truth he saw, he was still not willing to accept Christ for all He was and is, all that He provided.
When we ever attempt to to make ourselves right with God for the sins we have done, by self sacrifice, instead of accepting Christ.
When we ever think we can give money to the church and make things right with God and bypass Jesus as our Salvation.
We take the wrong path as Judas did. Thinking money and self sacrifice makes you any closer to God is Not!, in line with God’s will.
The good news is as long as you are still breathing you can repent accept Christ and be forgiven. Stop beating yourself up and put your money to use where it is good for something.

There are many people out there that know God is a forgiving God, they just think they have to make things “right” before they come to him. They just cannot believe it is as simple as asking forgiveness and believe you receive.

[Luke 8:11] [John 3:11-12] [John: 1-5]They trust in money for their miracle and will gladly sell you a package to teach about Salvation, because money means more to them than Trust in God’s Son.
Judas, gave something away that never was his to give, because Judas had never received what he was giving, he never made it his own, and yet took credit for it. He charged for something that was free, he never believed he received. Money is where he placed his trust.
God forgives those that REPENT or TURN AWAY from sin, and ask in His Son’s name. Anything other than that is a practice of lawlessness, to raise money.
No wonder when Jesus returns and the churches that come to Him and say look at all we have done in your name. He will respond. “I never knew you.” [Matthew 7:21-23]
