Where is faith in the church today?

Luke 18:1-8 Then He spoke a parable to them, that men always ought to pray and not lose heart, saying: “There was a certain city a judge who did not fear God nor regard man. “Now there was a widow in the city; and she came to him, saying, ‘Get justice for me from my adversary.’ “And he would not for a while; but afterward he said within himself, ‘Though I do not fear God nor regard man, ‘yet because this widow troubles me I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me.’” Then the Lord said, ”Hear what the unjust judge said. “And shall God not avenge His own elect who cry out day and night to Him, though He bears long with them? “I tell you that He will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on earth?”

Acts 3:6 Then Peter said, “Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.”

When we speak God’s Word in our life, the faith we have in knowing it is true, is what pleases God. The things we say, that state what we believe, and we do not waver from. And with out faith it is impossible to please God. Our body language that tells the world we believe in our God, and His Son, and every word that is written that tells us His will in our lives. It is this action of faith that pleases God.

Where is prayer and believing, in the church today?

If the church today was the same back in Moses day, instead of trusting in God to part the Red Sea, they would have taken an offering and with the multitude of people, they would have built a bridge across the Red Sea. The tithe and offering has taken the place of faith in the church. The more money an organization takes in the less faith they need.

Organizations today are built on mans efforts. The more people you can get in an organization, by whatever means, possible. Such as door to door sales, emotion driven services, the more money comes in the less faith that is needed. Then the practice of faith is shadowed by money and money becomes the miracle. The more money the organization takes in the more miracles they can perform, or so it seems a miracle.

How much money a organization takes in, is not an indicator of whether it is in line with God’s will.

But it is a sure sign of their trust in uncertain riches.

Money has a place in this world, and it is God that gives you the power to get wealth. But it is a man that needs you to organize with them so they can pool wealth to trust in. With money and multitudes of men it seems as we can do all things, except surround ourselves with true love, except heal every case of cancer, and other such diseases, except give every child the attention and love it needs, except make marriages long lasting unto death.

When a organize religion comes to your door, do they insist on you becoming one with them, because you know God and His Son so well? Or do they need your money to show miracles in their organization.

Moses single handily parted the Red Sea with a staff and faith in God. It was not a bridge.

It was Abraham’s faith in God and what He was telling him that brought Isaac to him. Not his ability to pay a mountain of money to some one that harbored the wisdom.

Jesus Christ sits at the right hand of God and He is waiting for His enemies to be made His footstool. It will take your faith in Him to put His enemies under your feet. And no amount of money can buy that for you. Jesus paid the price for you and God unlike the devil will not allow you to pay over and over for the same thing.

God’s Word is seed. Plant it and wait for it to grow. Do not let money attempt to take its place.
