Malachi 3:13-18 “Your words have been harsh against Me.” Says the Lord, “Yet you say, ‘What have we spoken against you?” You have said, ‘ It is useless to serve God; What profit is it that we have kept His ordinance, And that we have walked as mourners Before the Lord of hosts? So now we call the proud blessed, For those who do wickedness are raised up; They even tempt God and go free.’” Then those who feared the Lord spoke to one another, and the Lord listened and heard them; So a book of remembrance was written before Him For those who fear the Lord And meditate on His name. “They shall be Mine,” says the Lord of hosts, “On the day that I make them My jewels. And I will spare them As a man spares his own son who serves him.” Then you shall again discern Between the righteous and the wicked, Between one who serves God And one who does not serve Him.
In the Book of Malachi; God is letting us know, He had heard the words of His people, And He said they were harsh words to speak about a God that created us. He had created us with a free will so that we could give Him a perfect will in return. And because of our freedom to choose things had come to the point, that there was no difference that could be seen between Good people and evil people. And if anything it seemed that the people that did not serve Him were better off than the ones that did.
And then God sent Jesus Christ to dwell among us, to give us life more abundant, to heal our sickness and diseases, and to make us righteous in God’s sight as we accept Him by faith.
As we live this life trusting in Jesus Christ there should be a very clear difference, between us and the rest of the world that does not trust in Him.
Do people see a difference in you and your family?
The world should be seeking God’s Word because there is a clear difference in us, and what the world has to offer. It is then we can stop chasing people with God’s Word and it will be as it always should have been, a Treasure they have been looking for all along, and they will be willing to sell all they have to keep it.
Does the world see a difference in you, if not you might not have found the treasure yet?
