How come some fall away when you speak or lay on hands?
John 18:6 Now when He said to them, “I am He” they drew back and fell to the ground.
As I search the Scriptures I have only found one that says anything about falling away from the power of Jesus. And the ones who fell where coming after Him, not the ones who were with Him.
Every time Jesus healed, the people were raised up and walked, giving God all the glory.
The Scriptures in Ephesians 6:10-20 say, do all you can to stand in the battle and when all that is left to do is stand, just stand. Why would some people fall when you lay on hands or speak a healing?
Should the men doing God’s work counsel the people about standing in spite of how they feel?
Do the men today that lay on hands and speak healing, have a different power than Jesus and the disciples of the early church? There is not one Scripture to lead us to believe this is how it should be.
But there is Scripture to lead us to believe the contrary. Is this the devils way of putting a big question mark in our minds, as to whether we have been touched by God or not?
If we walk by faith and not by sight, we will never let this get in the way, and we will know God is with us no matter what our senses tell us.
Could it be a show to attract more people, and the more people the more money, and money is power? But the love of it is the root of all evil?
Why do some fall away? I do not know, and I do not find Scripture to support it happening, except for the people that came against Him.
Do some people fall because they saw others before them fall, and think it is what they must do to be like the ones before them?
Maybe we should ask the people that fall or the men that say they do the work in Jesus name?
We have a need to know, because this causes division among God’s people, Or does it just show the difference between the ones for Jesus and the ones against Him?
