Do you treat it like a treasure, or the way a pig treats pearls?
Matthew 13:45-46 ”Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant seeking beautiful pearls, who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had and bought it.
Matthew 7:6 ”Do not give what is holy to the dogs; nor cast your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you in pieces.
When you find the understanding of the kingdom of heaven, you will be willing to give all you have, to have it. You will accept Jesus as your Savior and you will hold on to it at all cost. You will be willing to give up all this world has to offer to keep it. If it is what you are searching for you will know how precious it is when you find it. You will not be willing to give it to people, that are not searching for the same thing.
The word of God needs to be treated, as the greatest treasure you have ever found.
Only a pig walks on it, as if it was of no value. And because it is the most valuable thing you ever found, you will not give it to a pig. You will be sure that even the crumbs are accounted for.
It is kind of like gold dust, you will want to account for every speck. Unless you are a pig, then you just will not care, that it is even there.
