Where have your desires led you?

James 1:14-16 But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed. Then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is
full-grown, brings forth death. Do not be deceived, my beloved brethren.

1 Corinthians 10:13 No temptation has overtaken you except such is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.

Matthew 6:33 ”But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Everyone has their own desires. It is the desires that we put before seeking God that lead us into temptation. The Scriptures let us know that God, will give us the desires of our hearts if we will seek Him and His kingdom first.

If we will be patient, we will see our desires come from God, and it is then we will know we have our desires.

If we want to get in front of God’s lead, and become anxious it is then we can be sure it will lead us into temptation. We will get our desires but they will not be ours to keep. They will not have come from God, and the devil never gives, he just makes you think you have something.

It is good to know that if we are led astray by our desires, and we can recognize our mistake, God through Jesus name will give us away of escape. He will never allow us to suffer for poor decisions, beyond what we can stand.

It is important to know that Jesus came for us. It is Him we should seek when we have let our desires lead us into temptation.
