Why would we need a sword that sharp?

Genesis 3:22 Then the Lord God said, “Behold, the man has become like one of Us, to know good and evil. And now, lest he put out his hand and take also of the tree of life, and eat and live forever”_

Hebrews 4:12-13 For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edge sword, piercing even to division of soul and spirit, and joints and marrow, and is a discerner of thoughts and intents of the heart. And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of HIm to whom we must give account.

2 Timothy 2:15 Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

God has given His word to believers, and it is sharper than any two edge sword. Now you need to know why. When Adam and Eve ate from the tree of knowledge of good and evil, that is what they gained. They also died spiritually. They ate from the forbidden tree, and instantly new good from bad. They chose to know how good they were or how bad they were, and in doing so they died. Because now every move they make they have to know is it right or is it wrong? And now the devil has a playing field, he can now lie about what is good and what is evil. The devil takes what is good and presents it as a lie and says it is evil. The devil takes what is evil and convinces you that it is good. And you will need the Word of God (sword of the Spirit) to divide what is true and what is a lie.

Is the devil deceiving you? Have you met the person that knows the answers to life? Have you met the right person that knows just what you should eat? Have you met the person to tell you how to be free financially, and no, working 4 jobs and leaving all for money is not the answer? Have you found a charity, or sickness that you can run a race for that has found a cure for sickness, or fed all the children? If you take God’s word and rightly divide it you will see the truth, and be set free. If what you’re doing is not working. Why do you keep doing it? Does the world say it is good? It may be evil? Use the sword of the Spirit and divide, and separate the two, they do not go together.

If what your doing works, do it. If what your doing feels good, but does not work put the sword of the Spirit on it, and cut the evil out and expose it for what it really is. A Lie!

We need a sword that sharp because the devil is a real good liar.
