Genesis 2:16-17 And the Lord God commanded the man saying, “Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat; “but of the tree of knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.”
Genesis 19:22 “Hurry, escape there. For I cannot do anything until you arrive there.” Therefore the name of the city was called Zoar.
Exodus 7:8-10 Then the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying, “When Pharaoh speaks to you, saying, ‘Show a miracle for yourselves,’ then you shall say to Aaron, ‘Take your rod and cast it before Pharaoh, and let it become a serpent.’ “ So Moses and Aaron went in to Pharaoh, and they did so, just as the Lord commanded. And Aaron cast down his rod before Pharaoh and before his servants, and it became a serpent.
Jonah 1:1-3 Now the word of the Lord came to Jonah the son of Amittai, saying “Arise go to Nineveh, that great city, and cry against it; for their wickedness has come up before Me.” But Jonah arose to flee to Tarshish from the presence of the Lord. He went down to Joppa, and found a ship going to Tarshish; so he paid the fare, and went down into it, to go with them to Tarshish from the presence of the Lord.
Matthew 26:39 He went a little father and fell on His face, and prayed, saying, ”O My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as You will.”
Romans 10:13 For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
We as Christians need to understand that God gave us a free will in the beginning, so we could give Him a perfect will in return. Everyday people say why did God allow this bad thing or why did God allow that bad thing. When all along we should be saying why did I let that happen? What can I do to make things different? What is the secret to this life, I need to know, God please help me, I will do your will if you will lead me? When God starts to lead you, you still will need to be led. When you ask God for answers, and He gives them, you still need to do His will. You cannot take the answer and look up to God and say “ are You sure this is my answer?”
All through the scriptures God leads people, He never overpowers someone’s will to obtain His own will. If God worked that way, He could not obtain perfect wills because our will’s would be forced. If anything, when we do not take action right away to God’s leading, He has to wait on us to move. Thank God for His Word, the scriptures allow us to see that our God is an awesome God. He will wait on us to do His will.
God allows what we allow. Yes He does. If you do not allow Christ as your Savior, God will allow it. If you do not resist the devil so he will flee from you, God will allow him to hang around. If you allow temptation, God will allow temptation. If you refuse to do God’s will, God will allow it. He can do anything, He will not change your will, it is a free will, you must make it perfect in Jesus Name.
It is satan that wants to force you into his will. God wants you to want Him without force. He gave His Son Jesus Christ so in His Name you can overcome this world. If you allow this, God will love it. If you do not allow this, well, He will allow that too, but He will not be happy about it.
God has done His part, allow Him to work for you.
