Are you prepared for the worst?

Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.

John 3:16-18 ”For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. “For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. “He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Do you have enough stored away to see you through hard times? Do you have enough in the bank to keep you in money if you loose your job for a time. Do you have a second or third home to go to encase everything goes south? Do you keep cash set aside if the banks go under and you cannot get to your money? Is all insurance paid up? Are you ready for whatever should come? Are you sure?

If you believe in all you have done to prepare for the worst. Let us look at what the Bible says. The scriptures tell us that God gave us Jesus to save the world. We are not to rely on our own understanding. Because God gave His only Son to save the world, it must mean there is nothing we could possibly do to prepare for the worst, other than trust in His word. If for one second you think you are smarter than God and believe you can out smart this world without trusting in Him. You are not prepared for the worst.

God has given us a door to reach Him. His Son has been given to prepare us for the worst. It would be much better to trust Him and be prepared, than to trust in your worldly wisdom to see you through. There is only one way to prepare. Believe in God’s Son and His wisdom. When the worst comes you will be prepared.

The worst is coming for the unprepared, and may be sooner than you think.
