JoeyKeymasteryou act as if one is completely right and one is completely wrong, and the people are divided as to what they want to choose. When in actuality, the political parties are very, very similar, neither of the candidates is completely right, because they are not being truthful, but playing up to anyone that can vote. That is the world’s way of doing things. The people are constantly divided because they are not living by God’s word, and in God’s word we find that the earthly kingdom will fall eventually, this (satan’s realm) is running out of time. As a Christian I do not see my kingdom as America, but rather, God’s kingdom, when you become a child of God by accepting Jesus as your savior, you become in the world but not of the world, so affiliation with one wishy washy group or another becomes a null issue, as you rightly divide out the truth from the lies.
I know that God’s kingdom will live on because truth never fluctuates. but lies always do and that causes division.JoeyKeymasterI see. Amen.
JoeyKeymasterThat is why they call it “The Tree of KNOWLEDGE of GOOD and EVIL”
Knowledge blinds people because they believe that it is what will set them free, the whole world is about school, and who knows what. When in truth it is not the knowledge but the refusal of the world telling you what you are good at. That is why there are people who don’t know Jesus that are successful, they never quit, they don’t let doubt enter. As christians we have that much more help to know that we shouldn’t quit.
I had a friend tell me once that you just throw your head over the fence and DO IT. You don’t lose until you quit.
Sounds to me like living by faith.
JoeyKeymasterWasn’t C.S. Lewis the same author that wrote The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe? And other children’s books?
JoeyKeymasterThis, like all of your posts is powerful. But it is sooo true, the world is always the first to tell you this measures up, that doesn’t, you can do this, you can’t do that, your car is slow, you are a C student. People get stuck in ruts of trying to measure up to the Jones’. We are conditioned to strive for the world’s excellence and will burn up all of our energy to learn and do the things that we need to do. This leaves me with a question.
Since we are measuring up to God’s word we should be shooting for excellence in everything we do, right? The only difference is the way that we go about doing it, whether the excellence is because we put our life in divine hands, or because we left our families and drove ourselves crazy trying to keep up.
In this case, the signs following a Christian should be excellence that the world cannot explain, right? Having it all because we are not doing it for ourselves, or the world, but for God.
JoeyKeymasterMy whole life has been a relationship with God. I come from the other side of the spectrum, we didn’t go to church from the time i was about four or five until we started our own 😀 Ours has never been based on tradition, but I couldn’t begin to count the number of times I have stood on the gospel.
Throughout the Bible, Jesus always goes up on the Mountain to pray…
I can deal with that. I would much rather be tradition free, in the church that God built himself in six days, for seven days a week. Than swinging incense, shaking bibles, and sitting in a man built church for one day week.
Thank you God in Jesus Name.
JoeyKeymasterIt’s a shame that the world shows us that to give, one must have less of something afterward. Or sacrifice something in order to give to someone else. We should give, but isn’t it great to know that by Christians being happy and healthy and blessing others with the out-pouring of gifts that were given to us for no reason other than the fact that God loved us.
Isn’t it great to know that by having a good, fulfilled, and happy life we glorify God. We do this by lining up the will in our life with God’s, not lining it up with what the world would have us.
The World wants to give us a hamburger, when God has a Filet Mignon, with all of the fixings sitting right there for us, and it glorifies him to pass up that hamburger and go for the Filet.
Praise God, and thank you God in Jesus’ Name.
JoeyKeymasterDividing the word is going through and pulling out the truth. Dividing the true promises of God’s Word out from the scripture, where a misinterpretation or a misunderstanding could steer you away from his promises.
But, Dividing goes with everything in your life, a Christian should rightly divide their lives so that they can pull out the truth, and be able to tell truth from lies, in every aspect of their lives. The truth is the rock, the good stuff, and to divide it from the sand will help you to have the strong foundation that keeps your life steady.
Hope this helps.
P.S. The Helper can aid the Believer in all of these things.
JoeyKeymasterI heard somewhere that the only thing that you truly have is today, yesterday is a memory and tomorrow is a dream. With that you don’t even get today, but each second as it comes to you. As Christians we know that we will have everlasting life. That is awesome, but that everlasting life is because God chooses for us to have it. Everyday we wake up, every breath we take is a gift on a special holiday, a holiday called life. Why not use it and the power that has been given to us for all that it is worth? We can’t escape the trivial everyday worldly things that we must deal with because we live here; but with the Helper they will be easy and we can move on to the next joyful thing, and bless someone.
Pretty cool huh?
