Today (as I frequently do) I’m searching for the God of creation and the earth god. In Exodus that god killed all the animals of the Egyptians but left the animals of the Israelites. However, this same god needed the Israelites to mark their houses to be saved from the scourge of the first-borns! Are you telling me that god could discern which animals were the believers’ but not the children?
Also, don’t you think that the damage done to the Egyptians during this time could have started (or exasperated) the hatred of the Jews?Dear Gail,
I believe that the Scriptures will support, that even though the first sacrifices where animals. They never could bring us back to God of creation. And even though we love our pets as if they were the same as people, God never places people on the same level as animals. The animals were given to man to name and have authority over. They were given to us because they can consume things we cannot, but we can consume them to nourish our flesh. Even though the devil will allow you to place something created by God ie. Flowers, Grain, and Animals, God knew that an Animal or that anything He created was not going to full fill the demands of the devil, nothing except His Son. And If the devil had known what God was going to give up to take back His kingdom, the devil would have never agreed to the sacrificial set up, but because the devil thinks he knows what God will do next but really does not, the god of this world agreed to something that the Creator of all put in place, knowing what He must do to retake the kingdom that was stolen. When we stand in faith, for the things Jesus died for, we also must know that we stand in faith for what God rose Him from the dead for and set Him at His right hand. When we become Gods child by the blood, God cares not only for us but also the things we care for, but never does He equate us to an animal, that is what the devil thinks of God’s creation they are all animals with out a spirit inside, and it is the way the devil would like it to stay. We become the Spirit filled Faith believing vessels when we accept Christ, and the devil does not believe that. -
