One of the biggest questions I had as a christian, was,”If I choose Christ as my personel Savior, I become a part of His death, in a major way, is that a good thing? After all wasn’t choosing death a bad thing?”
This is when the Holy Spirit ushered in to give me a explanation that made things so clear. It made my hair stand on end. The Holy Spirit began by saying to me. “You are a deer hunter are you not?” Not sure if I was about to be condemned, I answered, ‘Well, yes I am. As if He did not know already. He said, ” When you choose to take part in the death of something God created, you also get to choose whether it lives on or not. “How you attend to that flesh is a major factor in whether that flesh lives on. “Some hunters only want the glory that comes with the death, such as the animals trophy rack, that is highly regarded among other men.” Some hunters only want to know that they have destroyed flesh and to them that becomes the victory, that they can boast of. “Some hunters take part in the death with good intentions, and do to cares of the world, forget what the most important part of the death was, and that was for nourishment of the flesh. “That nourishment that allows them to live on, at the same time allows what has died the opportunity to live on. If for what ever reason the flesh does not become nourished, then it was only for the glory of the destoyer and no glory for what gave it life.
This was such an eye opener for me. Something that allowed me to see so clearly why Jesus chose to die for me. So that if I was to be come partaker of life I would first have to be partaker of the death of Christ first. Not just a part of the death at Calvary, but at the same time believing, Jesus rose to the right hand of the Father, so I could have life abundant, and make all His enemies His footstool. Do it in His name, so He receives all the glory, and His death was not in vain.
Some become partakers of Christ death only so they can take His glory from Him, and show you what they can do.
Some choose not to be part of the death at all, and just partake of the flesh, wanting all the benefit, but denying what the cost is.
Some choose to have no connection with death at all, and they are just in denial. It does not change the fact that something must die so that you can live.
Some choose to accept Christ, knowing in doing so He sits at the right hand of the Father, His death was for a reason, and not in vain, and they overcome the world in His name so that He receives all the Glory, for what He died for, and the reason He sits at the right hand of His Father waiting.
Jesus died for you so you could have a way to come boldly to the throne of God. You can accept that death for your sake and at the same time have Him live on in you. If you choose not to be part of that death, it will not change whether or not He lives, but it will have a direct effect on where the glory falls. On you, or the One that died for you.
There is one thing for sure, how you believe when accepting death, simultaneously relates to whether Life goes on for you.
Taking the blame for Jesus death, is the biggest question in the world. Accepting the fact that He died for you, is the first step in giving Him a life to gain glory from.
When something dies for you, how you handle it depends on whether it lives for you.
