I know a master builder or he knows me? I can only be sure by faith. The kind that pleases Him. The master builder called me one day and told me of a church he was building, and this church was designed with  a 12 inch white brick facade. All of which had to be special made and as white as they could be. These bricks would need to be flawless perfectly straight, and with out stain. It just so happened that when these bricks were made, as they dried, some would have a slight curve. After being delivered to the job site some were stained from the mud, while they waited to become a part of the church’s facade. All of which would have to be carefully selected for the perfect appearance so as the light that would shine on them at night would not cast shadows. After all this was said to be God’s house. The master builder I know called to say, he was having to reject almost every third brick because of stain, or curve, and that if I wanted I could have these rejected bricks, if I would haul them away. I was not sure for what I would use them, but something compelled me to gather as many as I could. Store them at my home out of sight but not out of mind. What do you do with thousands of stained not perfectly straight white  bricks that are over size? I had come up with several Ideas, edging the flower beds and some walk ways, only to have left over thousands of white rejected bricks that once were to be used as a church facade. Several years had past and these rejected bricks just sat and became more stained. If they were unacceptable before they were now surely of no use to any one. These brick were a reminder each day as I saw them, just because its free, and rejected for a reason, does not mean you can make it have value. But, sometime? You have to follow your heart when the master builder you know calls. You have to know something will come of you following your heart, some patience in knowing all things come together for good to those who love Him. The gentle reminders from my wife, about those bricks. The rejected ones that would probably never be used for anything other than a exercise program, in removing them to the land fill. They were out of sight but not out of mind? God’s timing and a word in due season, can lighten a load. We decided to add an addition to our home, a second story to be exact. A chimney was in the center of our addition and it was going to take thousands of bricks to bring that chimney, to the height it would need to be. We would also need several hundred bricks for the foundation for a two car garage. A brick layer was hired and bricks were to be ordered, the thought was all new bricks to match the color of existing bricks. First interview: “I will need hundreds of bricks if not thousands to do the job?” “If you knew some place you could get most of the bricks that would not be seen, you could save your self a bundle?””You only need red bricks on the part that will be seen.” My response: “I have some but they are stained and a little crooked?” “They are oversized as well?” Brick Layer( with a big smile); “Over sized bricks allows my work to go faster, saving you labor cost.” “The stains do not matter, and the ones a little crooked would not stop the smoke from drawing up the chimney.” Me with (Giant Smile) as i tell my wife about the rejected bricks with stains and imperfection were going to save us a bundle on our remodel. Every rejected brick used!!! Follow your heart, listen to the master builder you know, be patience, wait for the word in due season, smile big and recall.   Give Thanks to God in Jesus name, Amen
