Brief Summary: We find in the Scriptures, that the devil is the tempter. We also find that we can be tempters ourselves, if we put God in a position where He must prove Himself to us, and we gain glory from it. God’s will is to prove Himself to us, so we know He is God, not so we can gain glory from His miracles. We find in the Scriptures that God never tempts us. Our desires are what lead us into temptation, and because we are not patient we will persue answers to our prayers before God has answered them, putting ourselves, sometimes in quite a mess. We also find that when we realize the mess we have put ourselves in, that we can repent and tell God we are sorry in Jesus name and He will always Give us a way to escape. It is so important to note that it is our desires that lead us into temptation, and God is the one that gives us a way out. It is not God seeing how much we can stand.
The tempter will always work on our weakest point, Such as the things we love the most, the things we fear the most, and what we desire the most.
God loved us, and if our desires lead us into temptation, we can turn to Him and He will give us a way out. If we come to the throne in Jesus name God will give us the way of escape. God will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able to bear. It does not say, God will not tempt you more than you can bear.
The Scriptures tell us God is NOT! the Tempter.
