Fear and reverence, What does God want from us? The Scriptures are clear to let us know who we should be afraid of, and the devil is not the one. If we run to God because we are afraid of the devil we have it all wrong. Jesus came so that we could resist the devil and he will flee from us. If we are to run to God because we are afraid the devil might kill us, God would tell us, My Son gave His life so that you could accept Him and receive the Holy Spirit and overcome the world. Now go and with the faith you have in His name overcome the evil with good, and do not be afraid. Fear is reverence when we go to God. The devil gives the spirit of fear, when we do not take the faith we have in Jesus name and overcome evil with good.
Do you have the spirit of fear, or reverence? Only one is from God.
