Matthew 12:39-42Brief Summary: Adultery is something that is hard to find out when it is in the flesh. If we decide to step outside of our marriage covenant, it may be that are spouses will never know. But God will know. The Scriptures let us know if we have even looked at a women and lusted over her we are guilty of adultery, and fall short of being as good as God would have us be. If He could have His choice. With this in mind think of the spirit realm where we commited adultery often without a thought to have done so. When we confess Christ as our Savior and God as our Creator we enter a marriage covenant with God. When we speak against Him or His Son, when we confess a fear or a doubt, when we speak of lack of what we think we should have and do not, when we are vocal in a negative way. It is as if we are speaking out against the one we need to love the most. And the devil is quick to jump in the conversation and convince you to be on his side, or to line up with his will. Almost how someone who is pursuing someone inside a marriage, they feel they might have a chance when they hear they are speaking against the one they say they love. Even though adultery is thought of as physical it is also very spiritual. When we speak out against the One we should love, God takes it so serious, the Scriptures say is is grounds for divorce.
Who are you in love with? Can people tell by the things you say? Or do your words make them think, you just might love another than who your with.
