Luke 2:25-35Brief Summary: There are two ways to define wait. It is to look forward while waiting. Notice, the definition does not say look back while waiting. The other definition is to serve food, and what better way could we be found, waiting on the Lord, serving His food, which is His word, to others. It is amazing how Jesus is the word, and each word the Scriptures use is so complete. In its definition it fits in more ways than one, yet it still fits. When we wait on God, we use our patience but the most important part of waiting is knowing that in the spirit realm the battle rages to keep us from our answer that is in line with God’s will. When we attempt to receive our healing that Jesus bought for us on the cross, the devil is doing his best to give us something in place of it. The devil will keep us from our healing by having us confess our sickness in order to keep from losing money. The devil will have us hang on to something less than God’s best by, fear in what change it might bring in our lives. When we choose to wait and be patient after we pray, we can stand knowing it may take time, but it will be perfect when it arrives, and we having to wait can be sure it is not what the devil wants us to have. Because he is giving his all to keep us from receiving it. If he can make us think that God is not listening it is in his best interest.
If you are waiting for the anwer to your prayer that is in line with God’s will? You can smile in knowing that it is on the way, and it is the devil that is trying to keep you from a good and perfect gift.
