I know that even though ZACH is VERY special he is not the same as people (but almost!)  My question was more about this:

The Lord had the believers in him (in Egypt) put blood on their houses so that the angel of death would skip their house on Passover.  However shortly before that he spared all the Israelites’ animals and killed those of the Egyptians without the animals, the barn, the fields (whatever) being marked with any sign to show which belonged to which.  That’s confusing to me – I don’t get how the Lord could discern the animals from each other, but not the people……….

Also in the same area (Exodus) (a new question) the Lord tells Moses he will “harden the hearts of the Egyptians” so that they will not let Moses’ people go.  Why would he do that?

    Dear Gail,

You have almost answered your own question. If we try and see from God’s view it is almost as if it is as simple as pie and been in front of us the whole time and we have over looked it. When God told Moses what to do with the lambs blood on the door post so the angel of death would pass over and not take there first born, it seems strange how that would work for the Creator. As God allowed satan to do what satan does best (steal, kill, and destroy) He told satan he could take the first born male at each house. What satan could not tell, was the difference between animal blood and human blood, so when he saw the lambs blood on the door post satan thought he had already been to those houses. So you see as satan is the one that equates animals to humans, God can replace animal blood for human blood to fool him, But it also means when Jesus was sacrificed satan had no idea He was not just another lamb, until it was too late. So! now all satan can do is lie to us, so we do not find out what has been done for us. Because we have yet to come to a full understanding, it seems as if God’s people are as crazy as everyone else, But when you see the truth that sets you free, when the rocks start to fly they will not change your mind.

There will come a time when God says enough is enough, even though the Scriptures tell us He is patient, He will need to draw a line to save His People that trust in Him through His Son. His Son paid a price for us that if we do not recognize we will not see heaven. Nor a life of abundance with out sickness. And satan is doing his best to make us think it is all a lie. When we have soft thoughts, I like to call them, where we say yes I believe in God and His Son, but turn from these thoughts because every one else in the world has turned, it allows satan’s lie to prevail. But if we stand in faith against the world and harden our heart to the truth we shall not be moved. All of us have a heart and some of us go first one way and then the next, (Truth and then the lie). When God says time is up, your heart will be hardened. If it is hardened toward the lie it will be because it was soft with a lie at first. God will not turn it to something that your free will has not already established. The Scriptures does not say He changed Egyptians heart’s it says he hardened them. As if to say He solidified what they where believing.
