Is it possible in this day and time to have a childhood close to perfect? My parents have set an example for me to follow that could only be inspired by God. They have always been the first to put me in my place. It was not always pleasant, but always right on time. If it was the right thing to do, you better believe it happened at their home. Mom never would compromise. If you were not married you did not sleep together. If you were a guest you got the best treatment. If you were a foster child, you took presidence over all. Because a child that is lost got first priority in my parents home. If you were in the neighborhood you knew who you could count on. My parents are rock solid, they believed in God. They did not attend church regularly. But if you followed them it was better than any man made church that there ever was. My father has always worked hard for everyone he has worked for, he owes no man a thing. I used to ask God why the world never recognized my mom and dad, I always thought they should be famous. God said; the world does not know God’s people. God’s people go through this life as examples for those who seek the truth. I thank God my mother has always been honest with me even when it hurt both of us. I thank God all my camping trips and vacatons were with family and friends. God I thank you in Jesus name you have given me parents that the world does not notice.

Thereby, his mother and father (the subject of the above post) are my Grandparents. I and my cousins (Beaver’s Sons, mentioned in previous posts) will be the first to tell you that our Grandparents are the sweetest, most caring, most thoughtful people in our lives. They hold their children and grandchildren (and great-grandchild) in the highest regard and know the value of family. I can safely say that if everyone had my Granddaddy and BeeNana (or Tootie…she’s got quite a few names!) as their example of how two people should act toward the rest of the world and give of themselves, how great our world would be. Praise Jesus for them, and may God continue to bless them with his grace and bless all of my family with their presence.

People will know who they are because of the words that come out of there mouth, and the actions that they take. I have too thought that my dad and step mom should be known for what they do. There home is a christian home were a guest is also treated with the best in the house. Any one that is in need of a hand would only have to ask my dad and he would lend him the shirt off his back. I do see them as being perfect, I take what each has to heart and try to live the life they have taught me.
